MHQ Vehicle Sanitizing Procedures

In order to ensure the safety of our employees and customers, the following procedures are required to minimize the risk of an employee or customer coming in contact with COVID-19.

Vehicles coming into the shop

  1. Exterior door handles, trunk lid/rear hatch release buttons and touch points
  2. Steering wheel, including buttons, directional and other column controls
  3. Center console including exterior control heads, radios, mics and armrest
  4. Gear selector
  5. Radio/HVAC controls
  6. Touch screen if equipped
  7. Start/stop button if equipped
  8. Driver’s seat door armrest, and center console
  9. Window/seat/mirror controls/grab handles
  10. Rear view mirror
  11. Seatbelt buckle and anchor for all seats
  12. Keys or key fob
  13. After market equipment, barriers and restraints for prisoners or K-9
  14. Weapon mounts
  15. Fire extinguisher
  16. Cargo boxes (rear and or equipment trays)
  17. Hood release, hood prop rod
  18. Headlight control
  19. Glove box access
  20. Spotlight handle/switch
  21. Interior dome light/switch
  22. Any other touch points will be wiped down as well

Vehicles ready for customer pick up

This will be completed prior to staging in the “Delivery Line”.

Vehicles delivered to customer

  1. Driver’s seat door handles
  2. Steering wheel, including buttons, directional and other column controls
  3. Gear selector
  4. Radio/HVAC controls
  5. Touch screen if equipped
  6. Start/stop button if equipped
  7. Driver door armrest, and center console
  8. Window/seat/mirror controls/grab handles
  9. Rear view mirror
  10. Seatbelt buckle and anchor for driver’s seat area
  11. Keys or key fob
