Company History

MHQ is established by Charles Ribakoff, whose family-owned and operated car, truck, and leasing equipment companies and chain of auto dealerships sold more Fords than any other dealership in New England.
On behalf of Ford, Charles begins selling and delivering municipal vehicles and leases a two-bay garage behind a local market.
MHQ determines the advantages of purchasing materials in bulk, producing the entire vehicle in one location. The company moves to a six-bay garage attached to a gas station.
MHQ Truck Equipment opens in a new facility in Shrewsbury, MA. The truck operation is kept in house, enabling the company to operate at better costs to their customers while controlling the production process.
MHQ moves to a five-acre former dealership site with 40,000 square feet in Marlboro, MA, offering warranty mechanical service, body and paint work, and a retail store which sells public safety gear, uniforms and tactical equipment.
MHQ opens a new location in West Hartford, CT.
MHQ moves to its current location on 17 acres of land and an 80,000 square foot facility in Marlboro, MA.
Branches in Lexington, KY, Albuquerque, NM and Tempe, AZ are established.
MHQ expands its West Hartford, CT to Middletown, CT; a location four times its original size.
MHQ Truck Equipment expands to a more efficient facility in Oxford, MA.
MHQ introduces Advantage Build, packaging the most popular options into three equipment levels, and providing dedicated inventory to accelerate delivery time. Advantage Build for trucks is added soon after.
MHQ leadership is transferred to Patty Ribakoff.
MHQ is the largest provider of public safety vehicles in the United States, having upfitted and delivered more than 100,000 public safety and public works vehicles.
